My Testimony
I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and don't know what I ever did in heaven to deserve it. Not to mention how I deserve my family. Since I was born into the church I have had an ongoing conversion. I build upon my testimony continually. My testimony is built on a foundation of small simple acts of faith. I have come to truly love our Savior and everything he does for me. Even though I sin and am flawed he continues to help me. He's the only friend who doesn't mind me dumping all my problems on. Although I do tell him happy things too. I know that Heavenly Father's church was restored through Joseph Smith. I didn't see it happen but I strongly believe it to be true. I have a testimony of the power of the priesthood. The blessings and protection from the priesthood has blessed my life and given me hope where I had none. I know the Book of Mormon to be true and all its contents. The first time I read the Book of Mormon was right before I entered my freshman year of high school. All the students were challenged to read it over the summer before seminary started. And I can honestly say I have never been so sure of a book in my life. I'm not good at memorizing scriptures or specific events but I know the Holy Ghost when I feel him. I have a testimony of the Holy Ghost and have heard his quiet whispers in answer to prayers. I have a strong testimony of prayer. I had a stake president that challenged all the young adults to pray, on our knees, in the morning and in the evening. I have done that very thing ever since and have felt the hand of the Lord in my life. Like he is always behind me and is ready to help when I need it. I know I am an imperfect being but I know that if I strive to be a little better everyday that I can return to my Father in Heaven through the Plan of Salvation.
